WEST COAST NORTH TOUR

WHO WE ARE?

KIM KUFAAS

Kim is an indigenous photographer from Fort Rupert, Kwakuitl Territory on Vancouver Island. Being born and raised in Port Hardy, beautiful British Columbia, her work reflects the beauty and ruggedness of where she lives. If she’s not on the road, she’s at home cuddling her cats (Dominica + Archie) as she works, drinks all the coffee and eats salt + vinegar chips.

GEOFF HEITH

Geoff is an award winning Cinematographer and Photographer who has spent the last 15 year travelling the world and telling peoples stories through narrative driven film and photo. He specializes in working with tourism and outdoor related brands and people who think outside. He loves fishing, overlanding and spending time with this wife and four wonderful kids.

BELLA BUCCHIOTTI

Lifestyle and adventure blogger, Bella Bucchiotti is an avid explorer and true adventure seeker! Through her platforms, she shares her passion for fitness, food, travel and philanthropy, in hopes of encouraging her followers to run the extra mile, try new recipes, visit unfamiliar places and stand for a cause. Bella and her team create stunning content with a positive message that captures the moments and memories that mean the most to her.

THE BIG IDEA

Over the past year we have been been realizing that there is a massive opportunity to connect Vancouver Island to Northern British Columbia via the BC Ferries route from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert. It is one of the most amazing routes you can take to explore BC and one that we believe could be shown in a new light and perspective through photo, video and written word.

The idea would be to have Bella and Kim explore from Port Hardy and then up to Bella Bella, Prince Rupert, Stewart, Terrace and Smithers. During this trip we would document their journey and experiences along the way through photo and video and blogging. The ladies would explore each area through hiking, guided tours, local eateries and fun lodging in each area. We want to capture them exploring these areas in a natural and organic way. Part of what we want to do as well is have Kim and Bella experience the various Indigenous nations be that through tours, cultural centres or cuisine. Kim is from the Kwakuitl territory and part of what she’d love to experience with her friend Bella is the stories and history of other Nations from British Columbia.

The idea would be to tell the story of their whole trip through various mediums to reach different demographics, different social media groups and different marketing angles. Bella would focus on writing through her blog and capturing candid moment through her stories on her phone. Kim would focus on documenting her travels with her friend through photo with her professional photographers experience. Finally Geoff would be documenting their journey through video, interviewing them along the journey and getting their real emotions, feelings and experiences as they happen.

We believe that we could capture a natural story of two friends experiencing a once in a life time trip through some of the most beautiful places in British Columbia that would encourage and promote the North Island, The West Coast and Northern British Columbia.

WHAT DO WE BRING TO THE TABLE?

Over the last 10 years all three of us (Bella, Kim and Geoff) have been working hard using our various skill sets to work with various tourism boards and brands. Between the three of us we’ve worked with tourism boards such as :

  • Destination British Columbia, Tourism Whistler, Quebec Tourism, Tourism North Vancouver Island, Visit California to name a few

We’ve also worked with major brands such as :

  • Adobe, Blundstone, Arc’teryx, Ecologyst, Islander Reels, Redington and many more.

We are trusted and hired to work with these organizations because of the stories that we can tell through, written mediums and visuals ones in photo and video. The stories we tell are ones that are genuine, from the heart and always with the spirit of the place we’re capturing.

WHAT WE’VE DONE

We have worked with various tourism boards around the world to create content for their use on social media, advertising and promotion. We blend our styles from high quality lifestyle content mixed with phone and candid natural aesthetics. We believe this gives tourism organizations many options in how they want to share the content we create with the audiences and allows for a more immersive experience.
